Our Story

Since 2009, The Boulder Pickling Company has been producing small batch pickles and green beans to be shared with friends and family. As the popularity and demand has grown, so too has our operation. Starting with three life-long friends from a Michigan high school who all found themselves in Boulder, The Boulder Pickling Company began with just a couple of propane camp stoves in a shop. Eventually, pickled green beans were added to the production as well. Now, using commercial kitchen equipment, we have been able to grow our business beyond just friends and family and offer it to you, the people. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we’ve enjoyed making them.

Locally Sourced. Locally Produced.

As a small business ourselves, we love to support and partner with other local small businesses in the Boulder area. All of the ingredients we use are fresh and locally sourced from one of several local farms, including businesses such as Pope Farms, Blue Sky Farm and Tucci Produce. These ingredients are pickled fresh, hand-packed within 24 hours of being picked at the farm. It’s this dedication to quality that we believe sets us apart in the pickling world.

Pickle Partners

Relationships forged in a Michigan high school in the 70’s laid the groundwork for the foundation of The Boulder Pickling Company. Jeff, Jim and Steve all moved to Boulder by the late 80’s and maintained their friendship. The first production session of The Boulder Pickling Company took place at another friend’s shop in 2009 and took off as friends and family couldn’t get enough of the unique flavors of the pickles. These three have been producing the same quality products ever since.
